Mrs. McCabe, 69, of Howell died March 10 at home. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she had lived there before moving to Howell 34 years ago. She was a home health aide for Presbyterian Homes, Wall Township. She was a member of the Cornerstone Calvary Chapel, Howell, and the Monmouth County Historical Association. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Leslie L. Gasser of Barnegat, and Amanda S. and Alan Young of Philadelphia; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Keith and Bonnie of Williamsport, Pa., and Lance G. and Brett S., both of Howell; a brother, Nicholas Prodan of Asbury Park; and five grandchildren. Jean "Ciocie" Kalinowski
Mrs. Kalinowski, 89, of Manalapan died Feb. 28 at Pine Brook Care Center, Manalapan. Born in Bayonne, she had lived in Forked River before moving six years ago to Manalapan, where she was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church. She was predeceased in 1970 by her husband, Walter. Surviving are a niece, Frances Petrone of Manalapan; two great-nieces, Gina Mumolie and Karyn Binninger, both of Manalapan; and two great-nephews, Lewis Petrone of Monroe and Hank Petrone of Forked River. Henrietta "Henri" Shaw
Mrs. Shaw, 82, of Jackson died March 3 in Point Pleasant Beach at the home of her daughter. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in Colts Neck before moving to Jackson 19 years ago. She attended the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Point Pleasant. An avid seamstress who enjoyed quilting and camping, she was predeceased in 1979 by her husband, Robert C. Shaw. Surviving are two sons, Robert T. Shaw of Wichita, Kan., and Winthrop K. Shaw of Freehold; three daughters, Elizabeth A. LaRoza of Freehold, Susan J. Sutphin of Point Pleasant Beach and Candace L. Faust of Maui, Hawaii; a brother, Samuel J. Townley of Moorestown; a sister, Phyllis Armstrong of Seattle; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Young, 86, of Jackson, who was known to everyone as "Gram," died March 10 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Born in Old Forge, Pa., she had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Jackson seven years ago. She was employed for 10 years as an assembler for Garden State Mounting, Newark. She was predeceased in 1997 by her husband, Theodore. Surviving are a daughter, Maryann McGovern of Jackson; a granddaughter and her husband, Ann and Bryan Moore of Jackson; a grandson and his wife, John and Lisa McGovern of Freehold Township; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Santini, 86, of Freehold Township died March 10 at home. Born in Italy, she had resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Howell before moving to Freehold Township five years ago. She was predeceased in 1984 by her husband, Mario. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Marilyn Santini of Gilford, Conn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Joseph Hassan, with whom she had lived; and six grandchildren. Mrs. McGrath, 60, of Freehold Township died March 10 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Queens, N.Y., she had lived in the Freehold area and in Florida before returning to Freehold Township three years ago. Marjorie McGuire Brennan
Mrs. Brennan, 95, of Wall Township, died Feb. 29 at Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Allenwood. Born in Manhattan, she had lived in Crestwood, N.Y., and in Manasquan before taking residence at the care center six years ago. She graduated in 1925 from St. Mary’s Academy, Lakewood, attended Georgian Court College, Lakewood, and graduated from Mount Saint Vincent College in Riverdale, N.Y., where she majored in Latin and earned a bachelor of science degree. An avid reader, Mrs. Brennan loved painting and gardening. She was predeceased in 1970 by her husband, Edward J. Brennan; in 1993 by a daughter, Sheila McFadden; and in 1991 by a grandson, Neil Perez. Surviving are two sons, Anthony E. Brennan of Point Pleasant and Edward J. Brennan Jr. of Atlanta; three daughters, Joan French of Scottsdale, Ariz., Marnie O’Rourke of New York City and Mary Pinto of Freehold; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Robert John McCarthy
Mr. McCarthy, 76, of Howell, died March 2 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Yonkers, N.Y., he had lived there before moving in 1968 to Howell, where he was a parishioner of the Church of St. Veronica, Howell. A U.S. Navy veteran who had served during World War II and the Korean War, he was a sales manager for Sea-Land Inc. for 21 years, retiring in 1987. Prior to that, he was a sales representative for Milwaukee Railroad. He was a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order Elks, Lodge No. 534, Manasquan; the Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC), Tinton Falls; Special Children, Sea Girt; and the Howell Senior Citizens. Member and treasurer of St. Marks special needs catechism class, Sea Girt, he also volunteered at the Howell election polls. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joanne B. Bergin McCarthy; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin John and Aletha McCarthy of Sand Point, Idaho; two daughters, Kathleen McCarthy of Howell, and Colleen McCarthy-Branti of Point Pleasant Beach and her companion, William Kelsey; and five grandchildren. Mr. Berestecky, 38, of Ostrander, Ohio, died Feb. 23 at home. Born in New Brunswick, he had lived in Colts Neck, where he had been a member of St. Mary’s Church. He was a graduate of St. Rose of Lima School, Freehold; a 1984 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft; and a graduate of the University of Akron, Ohio, where he received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical technology. He had worked as a design engineer for Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield, Ohio, Phillips Technology in Cambridge, Md., and, most recently, as a product design engineer for Siemens Energy and Automation Inc. in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was predeceased by three grandparents, John Petrus, and Kathryn and Charles Berestecky, all of Donora, Pa. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Christine; a daughter, Emily; his parents, Marlene and Charles Berestecky of Colts Neck; his grandmother, Susan Petrus of Donora; and four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Patti and Joel Hobbs of Matthews, N.C., Kathi and Phil Cesen of Monclova, Ohio, Mary and Kerby Wallick of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Maureen Berestecky of Arlington, Va.; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Services were held in Powell, Ohio, and burial took place at St. Dominic’s Cemetery in Donora. Mr. Hennelly, 60, of Manalapan died Feb. 28 at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch. Born in Jamestown, N.Y., he had lived in Jersey City before moving to Manalapan 12 years ago. Prior to retiring last year, he was an associate unemployment investigator for the New York State Department of Labor, New York City. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Hennelly; a son, Martin J. Hennelly of Boston; his parents, Ann and Ben Anadio of Gloversville, N.Y.; and a brother, Thomas Hennelly of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Alfonso Cetrulo
Mr. Cetrulo, 96, of Tinton Falls died Feb. 29 at Liberty Royal Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Tinton Falls. Born in Newark, he resided there and in Toms River before moving to Tinton Falls in 2000. He was a maintenance employee at Allied Chemical, Morristown, for 15 years, retiring in 1972. He was predeceased by his first wife, Angela, in 1952; second wife, Ruth, in 2001; and a son, Michael, in 2000. He is survived by two sons, Al Cetrulo of Howell and Jerry Cetrulo of Toms River; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Ruth E. Windsor Curry McCormick Glade
Mrs. Glade, 91, of Wall Township, formerly of Howell, died Feb. 29 at Geraldine Thompson Medical Home, Wall Township. Born in Port Richmond, Staten Island, N.Y., she had lived there before moving to Toms River in 1970, Howell in 1990 and Wall Township in 2000. For 20 years, she worked part time for Bell Telephone Co., Staten Island. She was a member of the Howell Senior Citizens and The Church of the Master United Methodist Church, Howell. She was predeceased in 1978 by her first husband, Warren J. Curry; in 1988 by her second husband, James McCormick; and in 2000 by her third husband, Charles Glade. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Warren W. and Ruth Curry of Howell; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell, with the Rev. Shelly Abrahamsen officiating. Interment was private.
