MANALAPAN — The Manalapan Economic Development Council has announced the sale of “M Wear” — a limited edition clothing line emblazoned with the township’s signature “M.”
The sportswear collection will release a new piece every few months and sell it around town.
Officials said 100 percent of the money earned from the sale of “M Wear” will directly fund an initiative that began in 2009 “for the development of a comprehensive network of trails that will become a defining element of the township. The trails will be part of the township circulation and recreation system and provide access to the township’s environmental and cultural features, and link residential areas, parks, schools, libraries and community facilities.”
The inaugural “M Wear” shirt will go on sale June 20 at Manalapan Day, held at the Manalapan Recreation Center. A copy of the envisioned trail map will be available at Town Hall. Private and corporate gifts for the funding of the trail are being sought.
The council thanked TKO Athletics and owners Anthony and Christine DiPaula for their significant contributions toward the launch of the “M Wear” project, according to a press release from the township.
