Mrs. Dorn, of Freehold Township, died April 4, 2012, at Applewood Estates Healthcare Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, and was employed as a registered nurse in Canada and New York City before going to Fitkin Hospital, now known as Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Surviving are her husband, Charles Dorn; a son and daughter in-law, Robert and Lisa Dorn, of Honesdale, Pa.; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Thomas Vairette, of Howell; and two grandchildren. Private services were held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial donations may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA, P.O. Box 93, Eatontown. NJ 07724.
