The Monmouth Museum’s New Jersey Emerging Artists Series is presenting an exhibit of wood sculpture by Amy Puccio.
“Amy Puccio: Wood Sculpture” will run through July 3 at the museum.
The exhibition features wood sculptures created as wall reliefs by Puccio. These ecofriendly, puzzle-like, tactile works incorporate leftover scraps of picture-frame molding.
“I enjoy the irony that this wood was intended only to protect and showcase the art of others, and now, it is the art … truly an amalgam from a framer-turned-artist,” Puccio said.
The Monmouth Museum, is at 765 Newman Springs Road (Route 520), Lincroft.
Admission is $7 per person; museum members and Brookdale Community College staff and students with a valid ID are free. For hours and additional information, call 732-747-2266, or visit the website at www.monmouthmuseum.org.
