PEOPLE members will discuss issues facing Freehold

I am asking all of the residents of Freehold Borough the following questions:

• Did you know there are 300 new students in the Freehold Borough elementary schools without any new housing in the borough?

• Did you know that English is becoming the second language in the Freehold Borough elementary schools?

• Did you know there are 500 rental properties in Freehold Borough, excluding Spring Street apartments and Post and Coach apartments?

• Did you know the percentage of Hispanic children in the Freehold Borough (schools) almost exceeds that of black and white children combined?

• Did you know that Freehold Borough is being sued by the very people that are benefiting from the taxes being paid by the hardworking residents of Freehold Borough?

• Did you know that vans of children are being dropped off at the elementary schools in Freehold Borough without seat belts and without proper safety measures being taken?

• Did you know that the drivers of these vans are not being ticketed?

• Did you know that some of the single-family homes in Freehold Borough that are listed as "owner occupied" are not "owner occupied"?

• Did you know that more and more single-family homes in Freehold Borough are being sold and used as "rental" property?

If you are interested in learning more about what is going on in your hometown, please attend the next PEOPLE meeting on Feb. 27 at the Freehold American Legion, Main Street.

The March PEOPLE meeting will be held the fourth Thursday of the month. We need your ideas, support and participation.
