The Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce will hold a networking breakfast gathering event for chamber members 7:45- 9:15 a.m. Oct. 31 at Panera Bread, Manalapan. The fee is $10. The chamber holds a networking event every Thursday. Entrepreneurs and professionals from various industries attend these events to promote their businesses, work together and help the chamber to achieve its mission. Details: 732-462-3030.

The Goddard School of Morganville, 50 Route 520, has for the sixth year in a row been awarded the Circle of Excellence President’s Club award. This award is given annually to the schools that have achieved the highest standards in health and safety, quality and assurance, programming and support, customer service, business operations and program quality. This year eight out of 400 Goddard schools achieved this award. The Morganville location opened in 2005 and accommodates 150 children, ages 6 weeks to 6 years.

Zeik Dental, 33 N. Main St. (Route 79), Marlboro, will hold a Halloween candy buyback event 3-5 p.m. Nov. 4. Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound up to five pounds for all unopened, uneaten candy. Children may wear their Halloween costume and take photos. Candy will be shipped to troops serving overseas through Operation Gratitude. Those unable to attend, but wishing to donate, may call 732- 863-8040 to schedule a time.

The Philippine Nurses Association of New Jersey has awarded Senen Cabalfin, RN, MSN, CNOR, the owner of Freeholdbased Executive Care, an award recognizing her commitment to nursing and entrepreneurship. Cabalfin received the 2013 Nurse Entrepreneur of the Year award from the association for her “outstanding quality of work and contributions she has made” to the Philippine and nursing communities in New Jersey. In addition to owning and operating Executive Care, Cabalfin jointly owns a nonprofit organization called Mobility Special Care Housing Inc., which is a housing provider for people with disabilities in New Jersey.

Applebee’s restaurants will celebrate Halloween with free children’s meals to trick-or-treaters age 12 and under on Oct. 31. Up to two youngsters can receive a free entrée from the children’s menu — dine-in only — with each adult entrée purchased. To add to the festivities, servers will be dressed up as superheroes and fun characters. The offer is valid at Applebee’s restaurants throughout New Jersey.
