Mr. Dery, 80, of Manalapan, died Nov. 21, 2012, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a truck driver. After that, he worked part time at Raceway Park, Old Bridge, until 2007. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Kathleen, in 2006; and a granddaughter, Erin Dery. Surviving are six children and their spouses, Margie and Bruce Allen of Lake Como, Elizabeth Dery of Manalapan, Charles Jr. and Donna of Manalapan, William and Marianne of Manalapan, Thomas and Michelle of East Brunswick, and John and Tracy of Manasquan; and 11 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan, followed by a private interment. Arrangements were by the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.
