Mr. Ortiz, 79, of Monroe, formerly of Jamesburg, died May 16, 2012, in Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Fla. He was predeceased by a grandson, Chad Horne. Surviving are his wife, Marian Caruso Ortiz; two sons, Edward Horne, and his wife, Donna, of Middletown and Michael Horne, and his wife, Laura, of Freehold; three daughters, Wendy Ortiz of Jamesburg, Karen Hart, and her husband, James, of Boynton Beach and Rebecca Mikula of Tinton Falls; a brother, Phillip Orten of Loris, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and many extended family members. A blessing was held at M. David De- Marco Funeral Home, Monroe. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 262, Monroe; Elks Lodge No. 2180, Jamesburg; or American Legion Post No. 127, Jamesburg.
