Mrs. Strauss, 90, of Manalapan, formerly of South River, died March 31, 2012, in Jackson. She was born in Berlin, Germany, and came to the U.S. in 1941. Prior to retiring, she was employed in the credit department of Chicopee Manufacturing, New Brunswick. She was a life member of Hadassah and a longtime member of CongregationAnshe Emeth in South River. Mrs. Strauss was predeceased by her husband, Max, in 1969; and a sister and brother-in-law, Inge and Kurt Adler. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Ronald and Valery of Odessa, Fla., and Bruce and Kristie of Howell; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with burial at Congregation Anshe Emeth Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hadassah or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
