Charles Fredrick Hoffman

Mr. Hoffman, 96, of Freehold, died Nov. 2, 2011, at Geraldine Thompson Care Center, Allenwood. During World War II, he worked at Thermoid Rubber and was commended by an Army general for his work. Mr. Hoffman and his wife owned and operated Charles F. Hoffman Upholstery. He was predeceased by his wife, Helene Murphy Hoffman. Surviving are two sons, Peter Murphy Hoffman and his wife, Helen, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Charles C. Hoffman and his wife, Susan, of Farmington Hills, Mich.; a daughter, Susan J. Cardinal and her husband, Leonard, of Manasquan; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
