Edythe V. Weston

Mrs. Weston, 67, of Howell died Sept. 11, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, after a battle with cancer. She grew up in Wanamassa and resided in Ocean Grove for more than 30 years before moving to Howell. She was the former proprietor of Tempo, Ocean Grove. Mrs. Weston was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, currently worthy matron of Wall Chapter No. 143 and an officer of Molly Pitcher Chapter No. 198, appointed as grand representative of Arkansas for the Grand Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey. She was predeceased by a sister, Elsie. Surviving are her life partner and companion, Diane L. Prochnow; a niece, Hope Ann Wissel and her husband Rob; a greatniece, Belinda Heldreth; a sister, Joan Heldreth; her in-laws, Dorothy and Gordon Prochnow Sr. and their extended family; and her lifelong friends, Barbara and Harry Elliott. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
