Participants are invited to run, walk, roll or stroll on a paved course through residential roads. Anyone who preregisters will receive a free T-shirt, and after the run/walk there will be face painting, clowns, magicians and raffles. Prizes will be awarded.
The Zachary Foundation will donate the funds to physicians and organizations that are engaged in research for mitochondrial disease and in particular pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency, a rare form of the disease. Preregistration entry fees are $25 per individual or $100 per family; on the day event, the fees will be $30 and $110, respectively. The preregistration deadline is Oct. 15.
