Mr. Ker, 60, of New York City, died Jan. 13, 2008, at New York University Medical Center, Manhattan, N.Y. Born in Long Branch, he grew up in Sea Girt and moved to Manhattan nine years ago. Mr. Ker attended Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Utah in 1971. Most recently, he was a real estate agent at Citi Habitats inManhattan. A sports enthusiast, he was an accomplished surfer, skier, hiker and golfer. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Levey of Manhattan; his mother, Mary Ann Burke Ker of Marlboro; and two brothers, Bruce M. Ker of Durban, South Africa, and John W. Ker of North Hills, Calif. A memorial graveside service was held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
