MCAR chooses Realtor and Realtor-Associate of the Year

The Monmouth County Association of Realtors (MCAR) announces they have chosen Albert S. Veltri, Veltri & Associates, Realtors, as 2013 Realtor of the Year and Luke Lackey,Coldwell Banker, as 2013 Realtor Associate of the Year. These individuals are being recognized for their effort and work expended in the interest of their community, humanitarian services, in the interest and cause of the Realtor Association, their profession and their clients. Veltriis the 2013 president of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors. He began his real estate career in 1991 as a sales associate with Riveredge Realty Inc., Point Pleasant. In 1994, he received his New Jersey broker’s license and was employed by Crossroads Realty Inc. Toms River, as branch office manager. He soon after advanced to regional manager supervising three offices in Jackson, Toms River and Berkeley. In 1999, Ventri was hired as executive vice president of Diane Turton, Realtors, and in 2000 he received his broker’s license in Florida. Veltri & Associates, Realtors opened in 2001 and currently has three offices, in Spring Lake, Brick and Toms River and with 83 agents. Veltri is currently on the executive committee of the New Jersey Association of Realtors and a former director of the National Association of Realtors as well the former chairman of MLS Committee for 2007-08, and a past director and chairman of the Education Committee of the Ocean County Board of Realtors.

“Al is a Realtor who exemplifies the highest of professional standards and ethics and is truly deserving of the Realtor of the Year award,” said Donald T. Willis, executive vice president of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors. “He is committed to achieving excellence and is an asset to his community and to the real estate profession.”

Luke Lackey, a resident of Brick, is a Realtor-associate with Coldwell Banker’s Wall office. Lackey currently serves on the Public Relations and Associates Committees and is a founding member of the MCAR Young Professionals Network. He has taken on leadership rolls on these committees and has co-chaired and organized numerous committee events. He has participated in CBRB Cares, a charity outlet benefiting Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish Foundation as well as the New Jersey Special Olympics, for which he served as ambassador in 2013.

“A relatively new member of MCAR, Luke has emerged as a leader who contributes his time and knowledge not only in the real estate community, but in the Monmouth County community, and we are so pleased to be able to bestow this prestigious award to him this year,” said Willis. “He takes great pride in being a Realtor and is an enthusiastic and dedicated leader.

“Both Al and Luke truly represent unselfish dedication to their community and everyone they come in contact with,” added Willis. “They are a tremendous asset to the Monmouth County Association of Realtors and to the real estate profession and truly deserve this honor.”

The Monmouth County Association of Realtors is a trade association currently serving more than 5,500 Realtors and Realtor-associates and more than 8,500 Monmouth/Ocean Multiple Listing Service (MOMLS) users.
