JAMES C. DILLON, 78, of Freehold, died Feb. 11 at home. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Millstone Township before moving to Freehold six years ago. He worked as a truck driver for Monmouth Beach Cold Storage for many years and was a policeman in Long Branch and a member of the Long Branch fire department. Most recently, he worked as truck driver for Matty’s Auto Parts, Manalapan. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia in 1999. He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Beverly and Rich Shearstone of Franklin Borough, Patty and Gary George, and Cathy Dillon; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra Hankins of Howell; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
