Allstate New Jersey Insurance Co. exclusive agent Vincent Scanelli of Colts Neck presented Someone Special Needs You Inc. with a $1,000 grant as part of The Allstate Foundation’s “Allstate Agency Hands in the Community” program. The program, which began in 2003, recognizes Allstate agents’ volunteerism within the community and provides financial support to organizations through The Allstate Foundation.

Someone Special Needs You, Inc., provides a social, recreational, and creative outlet where children with special needs can express themselves. The nonprofit organization also serves as a support system for families with special needs children.

Scanelli helped establish the group 11 years ago. He is actively involved in running the organization’s monthly events. A longtime Allstate New Jersey agent in Colts Neck, Scanelli believes that it is important to support his community.

Allstate agents who are honored with the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community award serve nonprofit groups in many capacities — as volunteers, mentors, program partners and leaders. Gellman Images, Adelphia section of Howell, has been selected, once again, as the official image-maker for the 2011 New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center being held June 5. Gellman Images will be responsible for all still images and behindthe scenes video for the event as well as the imaging content for the satellite museums, which are slated for the New Jersey State Museum, Newark Gallery and a mobile unit that will travel statewide.

The governor announced the 2011 inductees in January, which include Queen Latifah, John Travolta, Martha Stewart, Tony Bennett, Bruce Willis, Franco Harris, Joe Theismann, former Gov. Brendan Byrne, Mary Higgins Clark, Leon Hess and several others.

Gellman, 43, founded Gellman Images 20 years ago. As a celebrity photographer, Gellman has been featured nationally in newspapers, magazines and on the radio more than 400 times.

Gellman Images is a member of the New York Professional Videographers Association.

The Freehold Networking Group Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) will host a fundraiser and networking event to benefit the disaster relief efforts in Japan.
