The Colts Neck Business Association has partnered with the Lakewood Blue- Claws to host its first Colts Neck Day on May 22 at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood.
“This marks a new era in the relationship between the business community, the Township Committee and the citizens,” said Raymond Shebell, president of the CNBA. “It shows a strong unity between all three groups going forward into a bright future for the township.”
Josh Feinberg, regional sales manager for the BlueClaws and a CNBA member, said this is the first time the minor league baseball franchise has partnered with a local business organization in this nature.

The Colts Neck Township Committee passed a resolution on Jan. 27 to formalize its support for the event. Deputy Mayor Jim Schatzle, a CNBA member who also owns a local business called Team Life, encouraged residents to attend the game.
“Attending a baseball game is a great way to get the kids out,” Schatzle said. “Now it will also allow people to get to know all the great businesses and services we provide in Colts Neck.”

Little Jimmy’s Italian Ices and the New York-based All Pro Eating announce the first Little Jimmy’s National Italian Ice Eating Championship slated to take place on June 19 at Raceway Park, Old Bridge. The competition will take place as part of the 35th annual Snap-on Tools Night of Thrills presented by P.C. Richard and Son. In addition to the eating competition, the night will include an array of motorsports events geared toward the whole family, including jet cars blazing down the quartermile track at more than 300 mph, wheelstanders, pro mods and monster trucks.
