– Bikers hope to find a cure for diabetes
The American Diabetes Association will hold its annual Tour de Cure on June 8 at the Educational Testing Services Campus, 660 Rosedale Road, Princeton.
The cycling event is dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes. There will be a 10-mile family ride, a 30 mile-ride, a 65-mile metric century ride and a 100-mile century ride.
Riders will be greeted by cheering volunteers, lunch, a massage and music once they cross the finish line.
The registration fee is $15 early-bird riders or $25 on the day of the event. All riders must raise a minimum of $200 to participate.

– Talk on local history of homes June 10
The Township of Ocean Historical Museum will host architect Frank Tomaino as he presents, “An Architectural History of Homes,” at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, at the old Oakhurst School Auditorium, 163 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst.
Tomaino will give a virtual tour of the area’s most fascinating homes and discuss various architectural styles, building techniques, materials and aesthetic trends.
The free talk is a part of the museum’s speaker series and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and attendees are invited to bring a nonperishable item for the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

• “Basic Yoga” will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11. The class will cover yoga breathing techniques, basic postures and alignment and finishing. A yoga mat is suggested. Registration is requested.
• “Fizz, Boom, Read — It’s Magic!” will be at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, June 23. All ages can enjoy magician Bob Conrad perform at this summer reading kickoff show. Meet a robot, launch a rocket ship and help a caterpillar change into a butterfly.

– Test the waters on Learn to Row Day
RED BANK — Find out what rowing is all about on June 7, also known as National Learn to Row Day.
Try out the sport of rowing at the home of Navesink River Rowing at the foot of Maple Avenue in Red Bank between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
A free, hands-on introduction to rowing will be available. Local rowers of all ages will demonstrate rowing basics on land, lead mini-lessons on the water and answer questions. They will also explain educational, recreational and competitive opportunities available locally for youths and adults.
Navesink River Rowing is a nonprofit dedicated to providing public access to rowing opportunities, including sculling instruction on the Navesink River. The group offers lessons, coaching and summer youth programs in June, July and early August.

– The Jersey Shore Wine Festival will return to Lakewood’s FirstEnergy Park, 2 Stadium Way, from noon to 5 p.m., June 7-8, rain or shine.
The festival will feature samplings of nearly 100 varieties of wine from 13 award-winning New Jersey wineries, as well as live musical entertainment, crafters, retail vendors and food.
