Community Christian Choir, an interfaith group of singers from New Jerey and southeastern Pennsylvania that rehearses in Allentown, will hold open auditions at 7 p.m. Jan. 21, 28 and Feb. 4 at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, Route 539. Arcadian Chorale is looking for vocalists to join its ensemble for the spring season. Membership is open and free to anyone with a desire to sing and a commitment to the group. North Brunswick Adult Drama Group will hold auditions for the 1950s musical “Grease” Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. at North Brunswick Township High School. Monmouth Conservatory of Music will hold auditions for its Youth and Children’s Chorus for ages 7-18. No experience is necessary. Audition dates are Jan. 24, 26 and 31. Weekly rehearsals are Mondays from 6:30-8 p.m. for grades two through six, and Wednesdays from 6:45-8:30 for grades seven through 12. A dinner-theater opening in February is running an ongoing talent search for actors and interns. Monmouth Civic Chorus will hold auditions for experienced singers, January through June on Tuesday evenings by appointment only.

Auditions and chorus rehearsals are held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 65 W. Front St., Red Bank. The chorus, directed by Mark Shapiro, will perform Brahms’ “Alto Rhapsody” with guest star Barbara Dever from the Metropolitan Opera at the Count Basie Theatre, Red Bank, on April 3, and Baroque music by Bliss, Handel an Purcell on June 11 at the First Presbyterian Church, Red Bank. Ocean County College Theatre Company will hold open auditions for its spring production of “Live x 3,” a comedy by Yasmina Reza. Needed are two males and two females. First Avenue Playhouse will hold auditions for “The Last Night of Ballyhoo” by Alfred Uhry. Jan. 25-26 at 7:30 p.m. at First Avenue Playhouse, 123 First Ave., Atlantic Highlands. Marlboro Players will hold auditions for its spring production of “Evita” on Jan. 24 from 8-10 p.m. and on Jan. 25 from 7-10 p.m. at the Frank J. Dugan Elementary School, Topanemus Road, Marlboro. All roles are open. Needed are adults of all ages, and a children’s chorus for ages 8 and up. Those auditioning must be strong singers who move and act extremely well. Male and female ensemble must be strong contemporary musical theater singers, all ranges, all ages, all types, and some strong dancers, especially strong male dancers. The show is almost entirely sung. Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of a short song of contemporary musical theater, and have an additional contrasting song ready if asked. Six Flags Great Adventure will hold auditions and interviews for dancers, singers, variety acts, costume characters, stunt performers, improvisational performers, technicians, greeters and management positions for the 2005 season, Jan. 24 at Nola Rehearsal Studios, 250 W. 54th St., New York City, and Feb. 5 at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. On both days, registration will be held at 9 a.m., dance auditions will begin at 10 a.m., and auditions for all other performers will begin at noon.
