Mr. Rutkowski, 74, of Manalapan, died Nov. 5, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in South River and had lived there before moving to Manalapan 10 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1995, Mr. Rutkowski was employed as a lab technician at Nudex, Edison, for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a communicant of St. Mary of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church, South River. Mr. Rutkowski was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Tagliaferri Rutkowski, in 1965. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Barbara Rutkowski of Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Michael Servon of Freehold; a brother, Robert Rutkowski of Georgia; three grandchildren; and his companion, Elaine Weber of Manalapan. Funeral services were conducted at Rezem Funeral Home, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, both of East Brunswick.
