Help give babies the gift of a healthy start

On behalf of the March of Dimes, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the compassionate people of Monmouth County and their enthusiastic support of WalkAmerica, the walk that saves babies.

On April 29, more than 2000 of Monmouth County’s residents participated in March of Dimes WalkAmerica, raising more than $365,000 for research into finding the causes of premature birth – the No. 1 killer of newborns – and other serious threats to infant health.

Babies need our help. More than half a million babies are born too soon every year. Many die. More than 120,000 babies are born with serious defects that can mean a lifetime of disability.

With our support, there’s hope. By making WalkAmerica a success, we are a part of the national fight to save babies from premature birth and birth defects. We can help save babies and give hope to families.
