Mandate from voters is clear: Cut the school budget

The voters have defeated the budgets in Freehold and Marlboro, etc., etc., and now it goes to a governing board — and they can make cuts or leave the budget as it was originally.

Why have us vote? Why waste the time and the money to vote? Governing bodies have the final say. What happened to government for the people, by the people?

Someone runs for office and loses, and he says, "Send it to a governing board; let them decide."

I live in Marlboro and the budget was defeated overwhelmingly by more than a 2-to-1 margin. So, do your job and lower it and lower the cost to us. The people have spoken. You want to make cuts? Start on the salaries of people who earn upward of $100,000 in the school system.
