San Gennaro festival

People gathered on Main Street in downtown Freehold to help celebrate the San Gennaro Festival and AntiqueFest on Sept. 21. The event brought 50 vendors to the town to display and hopefully sell their wares. Ten local restaurants provided food for guests to buy while they browsed around the town. Pictured clockwise from right are Tara Gakubik, Bedminster, and Mark Ziolkowski, Parlin, as they look over vintage ads that were for sale. Frank Evegan prepares food at Sweet Lew’s. Dolls and collectibles were also on display to purchase or just to look at. Caitlyn Shea-Katz of Freehold Township was just one of many youngsters who had their faces painted at the festival. Antonio Infante of Toms River, from Al Forno restaurant, makes a sandwich to offer customers.
