Mrs. Luper, 62, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, died April 7 at home. Her husband, William, died in 1997. Surviving are a son, Louis of Parlin; a daughter, Debra Hultmark of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen; her companion, Woodrow Mobus of Parlin; a brother, Elliott Stolowitz of East Brunswick; and a grandson, William Christopher Hultmark. Graveside services were held at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro.
Ida Bogdanffy Agner
Mrs. Agner, 85, of East Brunswick, died April 20 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1979, she was employed for many years at Sears, New Brunswick. Her husband, George C. Agner, died in 2000. Surviving are two sons, George Agner of Barberville, Fla., and Ronald Agner of East Brunswick; a brother, Stephen Bogdanffy of Elizaville, N.Y.; two sisters, Helen Fumasoli of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Irene Redfern of Watsonville, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Interment of cremains was in St. Paul’s Evangelical Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. Deborah Bender
Mrs. Bender, 88, of Monroe, died April 20 at home. Her husband, Louis Bender, died in 1978. Surviving are a son, David Bender of the Somerset section of Franklin; a daughter, Andrea Berke of Monroe; a granddaughter, Diane Humphries; and a great-granddaughter. Louise A. Dixon
Mrs. Dixon, 92, of East Brunswick, formerly of Edison, died April 18 in Sunrise Assisted Living, East Brunswick. Her husband, Robert E. Dixon, died in 1966. Surviving are a son, Ronald Dixon of East Brunswick; a daughter, Denise Spiewak of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Janet Bills of Piscataway and Emma Falcetano of Barnegat; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Farah, 92, of Milltown, died April 20 at home. Her husband, John Farah, died in 2004. Surviving are two daughters, Marion Farah and Irene Somma, both of Milltown; a brother, Paul Kucharski of Wilmington, Del.; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Larisa. Dorothea Patricia Chastain Inserra
Mrs. Inserra, 67, of Monroe, died April 19 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was employed for many years as a clerk at the Jamesburg Public Library. Her husband, Gregory Inserra, died in 1996. Surviving are three brothers, George A. Chastain, Lemuel J. Chastain and Michael Wagner; and three sisters, Betty DiSpigna, Estelle L. Chastain and Lorraine Dougherty. Services were held at Eckman Funeral Home, Spotswood. Interment was in Reformed Church Cemetery, also Spotswood. William J. Martz
Mr. Martz, 82, of East Brunswick, died April 14 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1987, he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, East Brunswick, where he worked for 28 years. Surviving are his wife, Louise Warmkessel Martz; a daughter, Donna Martz of Houston and The Hague; two brothers, Richard Martz and Harry Martz, both of Pennsylvania; and a sister, Kay Knoblach of Alabama. Mr. Dooley, 81, of East Brunswick, died April 19 at home. Mrs. More, 59, of East Brunswick, died April 25 in JFK Hartwyck at Edison. Surviving are her husband, Wallace More; and a son, Kevin More of South Brunswick. Mr. Marsh, of Howell, died April 4 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Alfred Marsh. Surviving are a sister, Elaine Clarkin of Old Bridge; a niece, Kim Luczkow of Spotswood; two great nieces, Lara and Marissa of Spotswood; a great-nephew, Daniel McCoy of Barnegat; and three great-great-nieces and a great-great-nephew. Maria Teresa Gilpin
Mrs. Gilpin, 48, of Manalapan, died April 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a teller at Sovereign Bank, Manalapan, for the past two years. Prior to that, she was an inventory planner at Siemen’s Medical Systems, Monroe. Surviving are her husband, John; two sons, Shawn and Jordan, both at home; her mother, Maria Teresa Rodriguez of Hazlet; three brothers, Wilson Contreras of North Brunswick, Oscar Contreras of Sayreville and William Contreras of Old Bridge; and three sisters, Elsa Rodriguez of South River, Lucy Contreras of Sayreville and Jacquelyn Contreras of Colombia. Mr. Perschilli, 45, of Old Bridge, died April 17. His mother, Gertrude Riso Perschilli, died in 1988. Harry Nels Christiansen
Mr. Christiansen, 80, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died April 21 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed as an iron worker for 48 years through the International Brothers of Iron Workers Local No. 373, Perth Amboy, where he served as vice president, president and assistant business agent. Surviving are his wife, Gladys Flynn Christiansen; two daughters, Janice Nakielny of Sayreville and Anne Bandola of Parlin; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
Eli Ortiz
Mr. Ortiz, 27, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died April 22 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was employed as an oil technician at Grease Monkey, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Janette Marrero Ortiz; four children, Peter, Aleesa, Krystina and Eliyah, all at home; his parents, Robert Lowe and Dr. Kathryn Mahon-Lowe of New York City; a sister, Carmen Alvarez of Queens, N.Y.; and a brother, Fernando O.
