Albert P. St. George
Mr. St. George, 78, of East Brunswick, died April 10 at home. Prior to his retirement many years ago, he was a certified orthodist in Brooklyn, N.Y. His wife, Miriam, died in 1998. Surviving are two sons, Paul St. George of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Peter St. George of East Brunswick; a daughter, Lisa Johnson of Mancos, Colo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Cremation Services of Central New Jersey, East Brunswick.
Samuel Rashkin
Mr. Rashkin, 101, of East Brunswick, died April 5 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. His wife, Ida, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Arnold of Fallbrook, Calif.; two daughters, Mildred Giventer of Old Bridge and Sandra Zions of Naples, Fla.; a brother, George of Middletown; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Barry Weisman
Mr. Weisman, 69, of East Brunswick, died March 29 in Mercy Hospital, Scranton, Pa. Prior to his retirement in 2000, Mr. Weisman was a certified public accountant and owned Weisman and Co., East Brunswick, for many years. Surviving are his wife, Isabel Scher Weisman; a son, Glen Weisman of Bayonne; a daughter, Nancy Herbert of East Brunswick; two sisters, Shirley Deutsch of Roselle Park and Ruth Cutler of Boca Raton, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. Joseph Szeliga
Mr. Szeliga, 97, of Sayreville, died April 3 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 1973, he was employed as a leader with E.I. DuPont and Co. Photo Products Division, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary Fielek Szeliga; a daughter, Joan Farley, also of Sayreville; a son, Edward Szeliga of Springfield, Va.; and two granddaughters. A service was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Emma J. Zarlenga Masselli
Mrs. Masselli, 93, of Long Branch, died April 9 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. She a parishioner of and member of the Rosary Society at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband Santino Masselli in 1984. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sandy J. and Joan Masselli Jr. of Old Bridge; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Star of the Sea Church. Entombment was at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, N.Y. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
Thomas N. O’Connor
Mr. O’Connor, 63, of Milltown, formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., died April 4 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was a paper handler for The New York Times for 26 years. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Mary “Mikki” DeMartinis O’Connor; three daughters, Jeannine Klos, Erin O’Connor and Lauren O’Connor; a brother, John; two sisters, Teresa DeForest and Catherine Madalone; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, New Dorp section of Staten Island. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Brighton section of Staten Island.
Jan Azarko
Mr. Azarko, 82, of the Somerset section of Franklin, died April 9 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, Somerset section of Franklin. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he was employed as an auto worker for Ford Motor Co., Edison, where he worked for 37 years. Surviving are his wife, Maria Maruszko Azarko; a son, George Azarko of Somerset; a daughter, Irene Azarko, also of Somerset; three sisters, Olha Ihnatovic, Maria Hezman and Sophia Chmielnickaja, all in Belarus; and two grandsons. A service was held at St. Mary of Zyrovicy Belarus Autocephalic Orthodox Church, Highland Park. Interment was in St. Mary of Zyrovicy Belarus Autocephalic Orthodox Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Helen Grambor Milewski
Mrs. Milewski, 98, of Spotswood, died March 26 in the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Milewski, and by two children, Henry Milewski and Helen Marino. Surviving are a daughter, Leonore Freeman of Spotswood; a son, Raymond of the Toms River section of Dover; a sister, Joanna Kordys of Bernardsville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Martha L. Kaczmarek Jensen
Mrs. Jensen, 83, of South River, died April 9 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1979, she was employed by E.I. DuPont Photo Products, Parlin section of Sayreville, where she worked for more than 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Jensen; two sisters, Helen Novak and Lucille Tenneson; and four brothers, Steven, Chester, Matthew and Henry Kaczmarek. Surviving are her adopted family, Christine and Joseph Donato, Joseph Donato and Jason Donato, all of South River. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
John Henry Patrick
Mr. Patrick, 79, of Old Bridge, formerly of North Brunswick, died March 25 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by two daughters, Marsha Patrick Seczney and Terry Patrick. Surviving are his wife, Carmen Patrick; three sons, James Bonanno of Brick, John Patrick of North Carolina and Daniel Patrick of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Cindy Weiler of Monroe and Margaret Bonanno of Chesterfield; three sisters, Jean Kotter, Fay Austin and Marion Heinz, all of North Brunswick; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. George’s Church, Helmetta. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.
Elfrieda K. Matula Stanley
Mrs. Stanley, 92, of Milltown, died March 26 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a founding member of the Milltown Historical Society. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander, and by a twin brother, Fred. Surviving are a daughter, Joan G. Stanley of New York City; a son, John T. Stanley of Boston; and two grandsons, Wheeler J. and Dawson C. Stanley. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
