ALBERT J. AIKENS, 75, of East Brunswick died April 24 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was predeceased by a grandson, Kenneth Stolte. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Impellizzeri Aikens; a son, Richard E. Aikens of Old Bridge; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

SUSAN SMOLEN ZDEP, 46, of South River died April 26 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was employed as a crossing guard by the borough of South River for the past 15 years. Surviving are her husband, Leonard; three children, Sandra Zdep, Steven Zdep and Lindsey Zdep, all at home; and a brother, Andrew Smolen of Boulder, Colo. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

JANET GLACKEN KAZNOSKY, 58, of South River died April 25 at home. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Foley of the Franklin Park section of Franklin; three sons, Michael Kaznosky of South River, Christopher Kaznosky of Jacksonville, Fla., and James Kaznosky of Guttenberg; two brothers, Ronald Glacken of the Colonia section of Woodbridge and Robert Glacken of Edison; and a granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

GLADYS ZWOYER SPANNUTH, 88, of East Brunswick died April 23 while visiting Falls, Pa. Her husband, Bright Spannuth, died in 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Galloway of Falls; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown, Pa.

EUFROZYNA PAWLOWSKA STANIASZEK, 92, of Ottawa, Canada, formerly of South River, died April 27 at her niece’s home in Ottawa. She was predeceased by her husband, Marion. Surviving are a sister, Mary Choniawko of New Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on May 2 at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pa.

MARY E. HODE SHENKO, 78, of South River died April 23 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Walter Shenko; two sons, Robert and David Shenko, both of South River; two brothers, Robert Hode of South River and John Hode of the Toms River section of Dover; and a sister, Evelyn Sadowski of Jackson. A service was held at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.

PIROSKA MUHAY SZEKELY, 81, of East Brunswick died April 27 at home. Her husband, Sandor, died in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Gabriella Pall, with whom she lived; a son, Alex of Jackson; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ladislaus Church, New Brunswick. CARLAINE ERRERA ARANJO, 80, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died April 22 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1995, she was the owner of Fabric and Lace Emporium, South River. Her husband, Armando, died in 1975. Surviving are a daughter, Diana Wolf of Bangor, Maine; two sons, Armando of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Karl of Irvine, Calif.; a sister, Eileen Pereira of Lakehurst; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment was in Crest Haven Cemetery, Clifton.

JOHN J. BARTKOWICZ, 87, of Sayreville died April 20 at the home of his daughter in Cranford, while under the nursing care of the Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Linden. Prior to his retirement in 1977, he was a plumbing and heating contractor for many years. He served as a Democratic committeeman in District 2, Sayreville. Surviving are two daughters, Lorraine Jones of Cranford and Dorothy Inks of Springfield, Va.; two sons, John J. Jr. of Monroe and Robert of Sayreville; two sisters, Julie Szot of Sayreville and Mildred Kaczmarek of Burnet, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center of Hope Hospice, 176 Hussa St., Linden, NJ 07036.

ANDREW E. WISNIEWSKI, 86, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died April 23 in JFK Haven Hospice, Edison. His wife, Katherine L. Watts, died in 2001. Surviving are three sons, Robert of Millstone, Stephen of Parlin and Gerald of Tamaqua, Pa.; a daughter, Linda Salge of the Robbinsville section of Washington Township; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. SANDRA A. VACCARO CONNOLLY, 47, of Old Bridge died April 26 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. She taught religious instruction for 12 years at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Her father, Frank Vaccaro, died in 1998. Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Connolly; two daughters, Caryn and Erica Connolly, both of Old Bridge; her mother, Louise Gulutz Vaccaro of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; a sister, Nina Wallins of Copper City, Fla.; and a brother, Thomas Vaccaro of Pembroke Pines. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

CARL A. DIETRICK, 79, of Egg Harbor died April 23 in Community Medical Center, Toms River section of Dover. Surviving are two sons, Carl A. and Joseph L. Dietrick, both of South Amboy; a daughter, Jeannette K. Dietrick of the Whiting section of Manchester; a sister, Katherine Polito of Scranton, Pa.; an aunt; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

LORRAINE HOLDA KOSOBUCKI, 65, of Sayreville died April 24 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Edwin Kosobucki, died in 1980. Surviving are two sons, Kevin, with whom she lived, and Jeffrey of Chesterfield, Va.; a sister, Joyce Lajewski of Sayreville; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery. CHESTER KARWACKI, 89, of South River died April 20 in Care One Hospice, East Brunswick. He owned and was a master baker at Quality Bakery, South River, from 1945-1965. After his retirement, he was a custodian at South River High School for several years. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie Blaszka Karwacki. Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Sekula of Sayreville; a son, Dr. Chester T. Karr of East Brunswick; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

TERESA C. SCHWARICK, 78, of South Amboy died April 18 in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Prior to her retirement in 1977, she was a schoolteacher with the Woodbridge Township Board of Education for 30 years. She was a former member and past president of the South Amboy Board of Education and the Middlesex County School Board. Her husband, William B. Schwarick, a sergeant with the South Amboy Police Department, died in 1962. Surviving are a son, William J. Schwarick of South Amboy; a grandson, William P. Schwarick of Washington Township; and a great-grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in the church cemetery. ALFRED "JIM" TREPESOWSKY, 92, of Sayreville died April 22 in Carriage House Manor, Sayreville. A son, Frederick Trepesowsky, died in 2000. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ciejak Trepesowsky; a daughter-in-law, Diana Trepesowsky of California; a brother, Joseph Trepesowsky of California; a sister, Rita Donise of South River; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on April 25 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

THERESA SALVIOLO, 89, of Old Bridge died April 28 at home. Surviving are a brother, Joseph Salviolo of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services are planned for 11 a.m. on May 2 at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
