“Extant”, a serialized mystery thriller starring Academy Award winner Halle Berry, will make its sophomore debut on CBS July 1 at 10 p.m..
The series is about a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. This season, astronaut Molly Woods (Berry) discovers she has unwittingly put the human race on a path to destruction, and that she and mysterious stranger J.B. Richter (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) may be the only hope for survival.
Showtime will premiere season three of its critically acclaimed drama “Ray Donovan” on Sunday, July 12 at 9 p.m. The series stars two-time Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Liev Schreiber as LA’s best professional fixer, the man called in to make the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes and business moguls’ most complicated and combustible situations go away. Season three will find Ray adrift from his family and those closest to him, while he focuses on his business and desire to be his own boss.
Discovery Channel will debut this year’s “Shark Week” on Sunday, July 5 with the most hours of shark programming in its 28-year history. Each night at 11 p.m., the talk show “Shark After Dark,” hosted by Eli Roth, will wrap up the day. The network will air all-new “Shark Week” programming at the end of summer in August, as well.
NBC announced that stage and screen star Neil Patrick Harris, Grammy Award winner Michael Bublé, Piers Morgan and Marlon Wayans will serve as guest judges on the new season of “America’s Got Talent.” They will be joining judges Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel to determine which 36 acts will move to the live performance shows at Radio City Music Hall. The four weeklong Judge Cuts will premiere Tuesday, July 14 at 8 p.m.
