Gold Medal Service, a heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, drain cleaning and waterproofing service company in East Brunswick, was recently accredited as a Building Performance Institute Inc. (BPI) GoldStar Contractor.
The GoldStar Contractor program focuses on strengthening contractors’ internal quality control processes, improving customer service, reducing waste and investing in systems that result in greater profits and customer loyalty.
BPI sets national standards for residential energy efficiency and weatherization retrofit work. Through the program, contractors learn best practices for service improvement through quality management training and contractor mentoring. Contractors must agree to adhere to BPI standards when conducting heating and air conditioning or other home services. BPI conducts data review of members’ jobs and may occasionally perform in-field quality assurance testing.
