Defensive-driving class slated at library

The East Brunswick Friends of the Library will sponsor a Defensive-Driving Course 6:30-10 p.m. Aug. 27 and 28 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Registration is required. Seating is limited to 30 people.

Eligible motorists may erase 2 points from their driver’s license and/or get a 5 percent discount on a portion of their auto insurance. Fees range from $55-$65, depending on one’s goals. To receive credit for the course, participants must attend both sessions. Applications are available at the library circulation desk or by logging on to www.ebpl.org.

Approved by the state of New Jersey, the course will be taught by an experienced police detective/accident investigator. A vehicle is not needed, as the course is conducted entirely in a classroom setting with multimedia aids. Checks should be made payable to E.B. Friends of the Library.
