‘The Swimsuit Issue’ next up at film fest

The International Film Festival at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, will continue on Nov. 15 with 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. screenings of “The Swimsuit Issue,” a 2008 film from Sweden.

The unrated film tells the story of newly divorced and unemployed Fredrik, who convinces his friends to form an all-male synchronized swimming team. With help from Fredrik’s 17-year-old daughter, the team defies the odds and advances to the World Cup in Berlin.

Admission is free of charge. Reservations are not required.

The remaining entry in the festival is “Bride Flight,” a 2009 film from the Netherlands, set to be screened Dec. 13.

The festival is sponsored by the East Brunswick Friends of the Library.
