The Chelsea at East Brunswick hosted a meet-and-greet for its residents with the reigning Miss New Jersey International, Mrs. New Jersey International and Miss Teen New Jersey International on Feb. 27.
After a dinner prepared by Chelsea’s chef, Jason Shannon, the contestants were introduced to the facility’s residents.
Each contestant discussed her platform and commitment to causes such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer awareness, water safety and education.
Sharon Sarno, director of community relations, coordinated the event. She said it was a delight to see the women connect with residents and sign autographed pictures, according to a press release.
The No. 1 question asked by the residents was, “How do the contestants walk in their high heels?” According to the press release, the night was filled with glitz, glamour and laughter.
