Mr. Petzold, 76, of Jackson, formerly of Jamesburg, died April 14, 2012, at CareOne at Raritan Bay Medical Center. He was a vice principal at Cedar Ridge High School in Old Bridge for 26 years, retiring in 1992. Prior to that, he had worked for the State Home for Boys in Monroe for 10 years. He was predeceased by a son, Mark G. Petzold; two brothers, Arthur and Robert Jr.; and a sister, Betty. He is survived by his wife, Margaret G. (Applegate) Petzold; a daughter-in-law, Chona Petzold of Old Bridge; a brother, Leonard Petzold of New Hampshire; two sisters, Rose Faulkner of Massachusetts and Marilyn Carter of New Hampshire and Florida; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Committal of ashes will take place at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover, Burlington County, at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.
