SOUTH RIVER — Police are looking for two black males accused of attacking a borough man as he was walking along Jackson Street near Clayton Court at 10:52 a.m. July 11.
The alleged victim told police that by the time he realized he was being followed, the two men hit him in the face and head, knocking him to the ground, South River Police Lt. John Casey said.
The two suspects then ripped the man’s back pocket and stole his wallet, which contained $20, police said.
Casey said the victim suffered from a broken jaw and multiple lacerations, and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
