To the editor:
On Friday, May 12th, I was fortunate enough to attend a wonderful exhibit at the Ben Franklin Elementary School. This exhibit was the culmination of a two-week Artist-in-Residence project by Spirit Tree in collaboration with the faculty and children at the school.
The artistic talent, sophistication and knowledge that the children exhibited was phenomenal. The children were instructed to be docents at the museum, also known as the all-purpose room, and guided classes and parents through the living art centers.
We have many talented and exceptional children and teachers in our township. I would encourage you to attend any performance at a Lawrence school which showcases our children and their talents. Congratulations on a magnificent program and a heartfelt thanks to the Lawrence Township Education Foundation, sponsors of the Artist-in-Residence program.
