VILLAGE OF BLACK FOREST, Pa. — Margaret “Peg” Stella, 62, died Monday at her son’s home in Hamilton Square.
Born in Hatboro, she lived in Sarasota, Fla., Hightstown and Runnemede before moving to Village of Black Forest.
She co-owned Black Forest Inn and was a former executive secretary for Norelco, Hightstown.
She was secretary/treasurer and a charter member of Black Forest Volunteer Fire Co., and a committee member with Quaker City Chapter Electrical Apparatus Service Association. Mrs. Stella was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pine Creek Preservation Association and Pennsylvania State Snowmobile Association. She was a troop leader with the Girl Scouts, Runnemede, and a member of the Little League Auxiliary, Runnemede Fire Company String Band, Eastern Tioga Country Club, Hatboro Baptist Church. She was a counselor and volunteer for breast cancer awareness and a participant in many clinical trials at Penn State Geisinger, Danville, and the Mayo Clinic of Mineapolis.
Daughter of the late Margaret and Frank Yaussi, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bernard “Bucky” Stella; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Stella-Edwards and Patrick Edwards of Lake Forest, Ill., and Pamela and Jeffrey Leach of Collingswood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard E. Jr. and Therease Stella of Hamilton and Kenneth and Ann Stella of Pennington; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Madeline Yaussi of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren, Ashley and Joseph Alter, and Kenneth and Jordan Stella; and niece and nephews.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. May 20 at Hatboro Baptist Church, 32 N. York Road, Hatboro.
There will be no calling hours.
