DOWN ON THE FARM

What’s going on a Howell this weekend?

Free, horse-drawn hay rides will be offered to the public on Saturday, May 27, at Howell Living History Farm in Hopewell Township.
Rides through the 130-acre working farm will leave the barnyard area every 20 minutes beginning at 10:30 a.m.; the last ride will leave at 3 p.m. Tickets will be offered on a “first-come, first-served” basis from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A wheelchair accessible wagon is available.
A children’s craft program, “Straw Hat Decorating,” will be held in the farmhouse from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The craft project costs $3 each and takes 20 minutes to complete. Groups (eight or more) must preregister for crafts.
Howell Farm is located on Valley Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Parking and admission are free.
