There are no local contests in the primary set for Tuesday.
Results will be posted on The Beacon’s Web page next Tuesday, June 6.
Lambertville Mayor David Del Vecchio is unopposed in his bid for a fourth consecutive term. He is a Democrat.
No vacancies are available on the City Council.
In Delaware, incumbent Susan Lockwood and Richard Madden, both Republicans, will be unopposed for two three-year terms available. Incumbent Robert Reed, a Republican finishing his 12th year on the Township Committee, decided not to run again. No Democrats filed.
In Stockton, there are more seats available than candidates as in the norm in this tiny borough. Incumbent Chris Smith, a Republican, filed for one of two three-year terms available. Incumbent Steve Giocondo, a Democrat, chose not to run again.
In West Amwell, Bernard Meader, a former mayor and staunch opponent of Township Committee member Nance Palladino, filed to regain the seat he lost to Ms. Palladino last year. Mr. Meader is a Republican.
William Comly, serving as mayor this year and a political ally of Mr. Meader, chose not to run again. He, too, is a Republican.
Mr. Meader is joined on the Republican ticket by Frank Smith. On the Democratic side, only Peter Buchsbaum filed.
