John J. Tardio, 86, died Saturday, July 8, at home.
Born in Plains, Pa, he lived in Morristown before moving to Concordia 15 years ago. He was an IBEW union electrician in northern New Jersey for 25 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. James R.C. Church in Jamesburg and the Christian Fellowship Club of Concordia.
His wife, Lillian C. Gnecco, died in 1998 and a brother, Louis Tardio Jr., died in 1992. Surviving are a brother, Joseph of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; three sisters, Lucy Bifano of Carbondale, Pa. and Rose Vitali and Gloria Elko, both of Wilkes-Barre; a nephew, Robert Tardio of Mahwah and a niece, Rita Scull of Princeton Junction.
Funeral services were from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home. A funeral liturgy was at St. James R.C. Church, Jamesburg. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
