   While on patrol at 11:54 p.m. on Aug. 4, and conducting a check of Bob McGuire Chevrolet on Route 206, Patrolman Ron Weiman observed a vehicle parked adjacent to the auto body shop with the driver’s side door open, said police.
   Further investigation by Patrolman Weiman revealed that Arthur L. Martin, 48, of Trenton, was inside the vehicle, allegedly attempting to steal it, said police.
   Patrolman Weiman ordered the accused to remain inside the vehicle until assistance could arrive, but police said fled on foot, crossing Route 206 into a wooded area.
   Patrolman Sal Guido of the Bordentown Township Police helped Patrolman Weiman search the area and located the accused, said police.
   Mr. Martin was arrested and charged with criminal attempt, burglary, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest. During processing, police found Mr. Martin had outstanding warrants from Trenton. Mr. Martin was placed in the Burlington County Jail on $5,000 bail.
