Rose E. Butt
   Rose E. Butt, 89, died Sunday at Capital Health System at Mercer.
   Born in Falls Creek, Pa., she lived in Titusville 52 years.
   She was a member and former deacon of Titusville Presbyterian Church.
   Mrs. Butt was a member of the Golden Hours Club, Titusville Quilting Group. She enjoyed painting, needlepoint, and traveling.
   Daughter of the late Harry and Twila Welchons Crytser, and wife of the late Paul E. Butt, she is survived by a son, John P. Butt of Ogden, Utah; a daughter, Sharon Anne Butt of Titusville; a brother, Donald Crytser of DuBois, Pa.; a sister, Ruth Crytser of Englishtown; three grandchildren, Darryl P. and Brian M. Butt and Debra Long; and five great-grandchildren.
   Funeral will be noon today at Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Hopewell Township, with the Revs. John Sweet and R. William Shaub officiating. Burial will be in Harbourton Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be 11 a.m. until service today at the funeral home.

F. Ross Valentine Jr.
   F. Ross Valentine Jr., 84, died Saturday at ManorCare Health Services, Yardley, Pa.
   Born in Woodbridge, he lived in Hopewell Township since 1948.
   Mr. Valentine retired from the Homasote Co., Ewing, where he was vice president of research and development and served on its board of directors. He developed the company’s fire retardent board and closed-water treatment system and previously worked with U.S. Rubber Co.
   He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Trenton, and its Usher’s Guild, Men’s Choir and Vestry. He also was a member of Trenton Cyrus Lodge 5, F&AM, Pennington; Ancient Scottish Rite, Valley of Trenton; Ducks Unlimited; and other organizations. He was a member and past president of the Trenton Club and Black Rock Gun Club, where he was a champion skeet and trap shooter. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and volunteer firefighter with Union Fire Co., Titusville.
   He enjoyed fishing.
   He graduated from the Pingry School and Yale University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1937 and a doctorate in organic chemistry in 1941.
   Husband of the late Edith Harvey Valentine and father of the late James R., he is survived by a daughter, Susan H. Valentine of Titusville; two granddaughters, Tara Valentine McGinnis of Lawrence and Shannon Kathleen McGinnis of California; a daughter-in-law, Tracey Valentine Meloni of Alexandria, Va.; and a niece, Cornelia Vannozzi.
   Graveside service was Tuesday at Harbourton Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard W. Townley Jr., pastor of St. Andrew Episcopal Church, officiating.

Clarence R. Wyckoff Sr.
   Clarence R. Wyckoff Sr., 83, died Aug. 2 at Cumberland Manor.
   Born in Pennington, he was a longtime Millville resident before moving to Cumberland Manor two years ago.
   He retired six years ago as Commercial township chief of constables. Previously, he was a security guard at Mercer Medical Center and The Medical Center at Princeton.
   He was a member of Buckshutem Methodist Church, Laurel Lake.
   Husband of the late Stella Sylvester Wyckoff and father of the late Richard, he is survived by three daughters, Frances Davison of East Brunswick, Grace Allen of Pennington and Patricia Golden of Richmond, Va,; a son, Clarence Jr. of Jacobstown; a brother, George of Zephyrhills, Fla., a sister, Anna Wills of Pennington; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was Saturday at Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington with the Rev. Richard K. Smith, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church, East Brunswick, officiating. Burial was in Pennington Cemetery.

Marie Ann Sansone
   Marie Ann "Mary" Sansone, 84, died Aug. 3 at Morris Hall Nursing Home.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a longtime Ewing resident before moving to Lawrence.
   Mrs. Sansone was a homemaker.
   She was a member of Incarnation Roman Catholic Church and its Rosary Society, Ewing, the Columbiettes and Senior Citizens Club of Ewing.
   Daughter of the late Louis and Anne DeLa Porta D’Ermilio, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Louis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Barbara of Hopewell Township and Frank and Louise of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Julia, Louis, Marie and Marla; and a sister, Letticia Mandola of Montville.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at St. Alphonsus Church, Princeton Avenue and Prospect Street, Hopewell.
   Burial was in the parish cemetery, Hopewell.
   Arrangements were by Cromwell Memorial Home, Hopewell.

Helen Y. Sellner
   Helen Y. Sellner, 95, died Aug. 1, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Center, Lawrenceville.
   Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
   Mrs. Sellner retired as a credit investigator with Broad Street National Bank, Trenton.
   She was a member of Incarnation Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, and former member of Ewing Senior Citizens Club.
   Daughter of the late Frank and Hannah Cooney Yard and wife of the late Herman P., she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald P. and Peggy Sellner of Titusville; a sister, Mabel Cabot formerly of Washington, D.C.; two grandsons, Jason and Jeffrey Sellner; and nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at Incarnation Roman Catholic Church.
   Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yardley, Pa.
   Arrangements were by Wilson Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle.

Geno Greco
   Geno "Jerry" Greco, 74, died Aug. 3, at home.
   Born in Calabria, Italy, he came to the United States and lived in North Trenton before moving to Hamilton 48 years ago.
   Mr. Greco owned Geno Shoe Service in the Chambersburg section of Trenton for the past 53 years.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific.
   He was a member of the 112th Field Artillery Association; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 491; Trenton Elks Lodge 105; Delaware Valley Shoe Service Association; St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church; and Trenton Lions Club, where he was trail twister many years and received the Lion of the Year award in 1995.
   Son of the late Raffaele and Angelina Sirianni Greco and brother of the late Emilio and Joseph, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Olivia Giori Greco; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tina Greco of Columbus; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arthur and Barbara Giori of Hamilton and John and Pat Meyer of Hopewell Township; and nieces and nephews, including Ralph Greco.
   Funeral was Monday from Chambers D’Errico & Correnti Funeral Home, Trenton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church.
   Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

 Michael Savko
   Michael Savko, 94, of Princeton Junction died Aug. 2 at The Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   He retired from Princeton University and previously worked with Ajax Engineering Corp.
   Son of the late George and Anna Dutko Savko and husband of the late Marion Sergeant Savko, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Richard Thornton of Hopewell; two granddaughters, Susan Dorio and Kelly Doty; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Doty; a brother-in-law, David Sergeant; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was private.
   Burial was in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Trenton.

Kenan Van Vranken
   Kenan M. Van Vranken, 62, died Aug. 3 at home.
   Born in Greensboro, N.C., she lived in Pennington 20 years.
   Mrs. Van Vranken was director of training services at Dow Jones & Co. in South Brunswick.
   She is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Robert of Brunswick, Maine, Nelson of Clovis, N.M., and Peter of Hinesburg, Vt.; a sister, Mary Nelson Myers of Richmond, Va.; and four grandchildren, Cooper, Kenan, Brennan and Sarah.
   Burial was Saturday at Princeton Cemetery, with a memorial service at Trinity Church, Princeton, with the Revs. Alfred Tisdale, pastor of Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge, and John Belmont, rector of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, officiating.

Margaret Tassie
   Margaret Brogan "Dede" Tassie, 81, died July 29 at home.
   Born in New York City, she was a longtime Princeton resident.
   She worked and modeled in New York City.
   She was a member of the Present Day Club of Princeton, Black Rock Gun Club and Greenfingers Garden Club. Mrs. Tassie was active with many nonprofit organizations and enjoyed trap shooting, traveling and playing golf.
   She was a graduate of Kew-Forest School, Forest Hills, N.Y. and Katherine Gibbs School of Modeling, New York City.
   Daughter of the late Edward and Marie Brogan and mother of the late Benjamin, she is survived by two sons, John of Orlando, Fla., and Mark of Morrisville, Pa; five daughters, Meg Boveroux of Princeton, Hope Tassie Scherck and Sara Tassie Boyd of Pennington, Gina Ughetta of New Canaan, Conn., and Suzanne Grossman of Charlottesville, Va.; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
   Memorial service was Aug. 3 at The Aquinas Institute, Stockton Street and Library Place. Burial was private.

Gloria Alpert Iverson
   Gloria Alpert Iverson died Aug. 3 at Capital Health System at Mercer Hospital, Trenton.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived there before moving to East Windsor in 1971.
   Mrs. Iverson was a member of the East Windsor/Hightstown Senior Citizens, where she played piano and performed for holiday gatherings.
   Wife of the late Louis G. and sister of the late Rose Taub and Flora Rice, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Annette Iverson of Pennington; a sister, Sophie Kravitz of Miami; and two grandchildren, Paul and Lisa.
   Funeral was Sunday at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
   Entombment was in Beth Israel Cemetery Mausoleum, Woodbridge.

Jacqueline Ross
   Jacqueline "Jackie" Ross, 59, died Aug. 1 at Chandler Hall Health Services, Newtown, Pa.
   Born in Rochester, N.Y., she attended Pittsford, N.Y., schools.
   She was a TOEFL program director at Educational Testing Service, Lawrence, and previously vice principal of Columbine Elementary School, Boulder, Colo.
   She received a bachelor’s from Middlebury (Vt.) College, a master’s degree from Colorado State University and a doctorate from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
   She received a dissertation research award at ETS. She enjoyed traveling and learning about foreign cultures.
   Daughter of the late Lawrence Ross, she is survived by her mother, Marion Jackson Ross; a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Philip Vecere of Pennington; a son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Lisa Hansen; and three grandchildren, Tanya Growitz and Rebecca and Christina Vecere.
   Memorial service was Friday at Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing. Private burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, N.Y.
