Richard H. Samuels
   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP – Richard H. "Dick" Samuels, 74, died Sept. 10 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Pittsburgh, and formerly of Lambertville and Flemington, he was a longtime area resident.
   He formerly owned Collex Collision in Hamilton. Previously, he was a service manager with GMC Bros., a district manager with the Times of Trenton, a General Motors Corp. factory representative, a general manager of Central Motors of Trenton and a site supervisor with Aetna Insurance, Robbinsville.
   Mr. Samuels was a Navy veteran of World War II and participated in the Philippines liberation and received the Pacific and American Theatre ribbons and Victory Medal.
   A Mason, he was a past exalted ruler of Flemington Elks and a member of Moose Lodge of Lambertville. He was a volunteer firefighter with Union Fire Co., Lambertville, and collected railroad memorabilia.
   Son of the late Charles H. and Margarite Samuels, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margaret Mary Kern Samuels; two sons, Mark and Matt; a daughter, Diane; two grandchildren, Richard and Samantha, and other relatives.
   A memorial was held at Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, Trenton.
Ada T. Chance
   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP – Ada T. Chance, 92, died Sept. 17 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center, Hamilton.
   Born in Bordentown, she was a lifelong resident.
   She retired from General Motors Corp., Ewing, after 25 years.
   Wife of the late Mark Chance and grandmother of the late Sharon Jaczko, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Michael Dorio of Hopewell; a granddaughter, Linda Lynch of Woodbridge, Va.; and five great-grandchildren.
   The funeral was held at Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown City.
   Burial was in Bordentown cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Mildred E. Bender of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.

Emma Peter
   FLORENCE – Emma M. Peter, 87, died Sept. 12 at Virtua Health-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
   Born in Piscolt, Romania, and formerly of Trenton, she was a longtime Roebling and Florence area resident.
   Mrs. Peter had worked with American Tobacco, Trenton.
   She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Roebling and its Women’s Guild, Good Neighbors Senior Citizens of Florence, John A. Roebling Senior Citizens, Roebling Historical Society, and Florence Township Chapter of Deborah. She enjoyed gardening and baking.
   She received the 1981 Florence Township Citizen of the Year Award, 1983 Hungarian Reformed Church of Roebling Citizen of Florence Township Award, and other community awards, and was Ms. Senior Burlington County in 1982.
   Daughter of the late Imre and Elizabeth Szecsi Lengyel, wife of the late John M. and mother of the late Priscilla Bartha and John L., she is survived by three grandchildren, Kathleen Vagen of West Keansburg and David B. and Bertalan Bartha of Aurora, Colo.; a niece, Elizabeth Spangola of Hamilton; and three great-grandchildren, Erik P., Kristina I and Kevin A. Vagan.
   The funeral was held from Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, Roebling.
   A funeral service was held at Hungarian Reformed Church of Roebling.
   Burial was in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton.

Aitta Edith DiLullo
   FLORENCE – Aitta Edith DiLullo, 76, died Sept. 11 at Buttonwood Hospital, New Lisbon.
   Born in Bristol, Pa. she was a longtime Florence resident.
   She was a former screen wire maker at John A. Roebling’s Sons Co. and member of St. Clare’s Church and its Altar Rosary Society.
   She is survived by two sisters, Loretta DiLullo and Carmela Grotheim, and a brother, Nicholas, all of Florence.
   The funeral was held from Dennison Funeral Home, Florence.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Clare’s Church with the Rev. Felix F. Venza, pastor, officiating.
   Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Ralph A.
Ashwood Sr.
   MANSFIELD – Ralph A. Ashwood Sr., 75, died Sept. 16 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly.
   Born in Summit Point, W. Va., he was a longtime area resident.
   He was a dairy farmer with the John Bishop and Van Mater Farms, both in Mansfield.
   He is survived by his wife, Susie "Leake" Ashwood; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph J. and Vicki Ashwood and Gary and Boneek Ashwood, both of Columbus, and Edward "Reds" and Natalie Ashwood of Florence; two daughters and a son-in-law, Josephine and David Wentz of Hainesport and Jacqueline Ashwood of Columbus; two brothers, Holmes of Charlestown, W. Va., and William of Winchester, Va.; a sister, Janet Zinnof of Summit Point, W. Va.; a sister-in-law, Stella Myers of Ruffs Dale, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown City, with the Rev. John D. Grove officiating.
   Burial was in Columbus Cemetery.

Larry E. Green Sr.
NEW HANOVER – Larry E. Green Sr., 49, died Saturday at Capital Health System at Mercer Hospital.
   Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifetime area resident.
   He was a landscaper with Union Local 172, Trenton, and member for 29 years.
   Father of the late Larry E. Green Jr., he is survived by his wife, Janice Laviolette Green; a daughter, Jennifer Green of Cookstown; his parents, Frank and Betty Green of Cookstown; three sisters, Faye Green of Browns Mills, Barbara Green of Cookstown and Gloria Magoon of Vermont; a brother, Timothy of Bordentown; a granddaughter, Amber Rose Green of Cookstown; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt, with the Rev. Paul Amey officiating.
   Burial was in Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery.
Andrew Dutko
   TRENTON – Andrew Dutko, 95, died Sept. 16 at home.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong resident.
   He retired after 25 years from General Motors Corp.
   He was a sports enthusiast.
   Husband of the late Muriel Allison Dutko and brother of the late John, George, Michael, Thomas, Edward and Joseph and Elizabeth Dutko McCann, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, R. Alan and Malve Dutko of Yardville; a brother, Albert of Ewing; a sister, Margaret Carmichael of Bordentown; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Kutch Funeral Home. Requiem Liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hamilton.

Andrew M. Calabrese
   HAMILTON – Andrew "Andy" M. Calabrese, 70, died Sept. 16 at Capital Health Center at Mercer, Trenton.
   Born in Pittston, Pa., he resided in Trenton for 40 years and Hamilton for the past 22 years.
   He retired in 1994 after 24 years as a carpenter’s foreman for the Trenton Board of Education.
   He was a member of the Italian-American Sportsman Club-Fishing Club, St. James Church and its Holy Name Society and Trenton Carpenters Union 31.
   He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and served with the 88th Military Police Company. He was a member of the Fort Jay Army Swim Team.
   Son of the late Salvatore and Dorothy Alessi Calabrese, husband of the late Sarah L. Corti Calabrese, and brother of the late Samuel and Gene Calabrese, Mary Gattuso and Josephine Scalzo, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Bridget Calabrese of Louisville, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and James Reading of Hamilton with whom he resided; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Lucy Calabrese of Ewing; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Rose Capitano of Pittston, Pa., Angela and Joseph Schiafano of Levittown, Pa., Tina and Fino Picatagi of Hamilton, Mafalda and John Bruccoleri of Ewing and Elizabeth and Joseph Tanzini of Bordentown Township; six grandchildren, Renee and Monica Bianchi, Michael and Drew Reading and Emma and Rosa Calabrese; and many nieces and nephews.
   The funeral

   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Church, East Paul Avenue, Trenton.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Louise Navratil
Jelfimov
   HAMILTON – Louise Navratil Jelfimov, 90, died Sept. 11 at Capital Health System at Fuld Hospital, Trenton.
   Born in Komna, Czechoslovakia, she was a longtime Trenton area resident.
   She enjoyed gardening.
   Wife of the late Frank Srahola, Carlo Giovanneti and Grigori Jelfimov, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Laddie and Dee Srahola of Bordentown; four grandchildren, Joseph, Mark and Michael Srahola and Christine VanHyning; and four great-grandchildren.
   The funeral was held from Kutch Funeral Home, Trenton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Williams-Davis
   TRENTON – Kevin G. "GJ Kashif" Williams-Davis, 25, died Sept. 17.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong resident.
   He was a barber at Players Barber Shop.
   He graduated from Trenton Central High School.
   Grandson of the late George Davis Sr. and David Williams, he is survived by two sons, Maurquice and Maurquier Jones, and their mother, Lanika Jones; his parents, Barbara Williams and George Davis Jr. and stepmother, Pat Marrow Davis, all of Trenton; five brothers, Mark and Brian Williams-Davis, Shaquille and Michael Davis, all of Trenton, and Walter Davis of Williamsport, Pa.; five sisters and a brother-in-law, Latonya Davis of Reevesville, N.C., Yvonne, Michaela and Deborah Davis, all of Trenton, and Michelle and Sam Stewart of Columbus; his paternal grandmother, Rebecca Davis of Warrenton, N.C.; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Mae Williams of Trenton; and other relatives and friends, including his adopted grandmother, Dorothy Sales of Miami, and big brother, Gene "DJ" Bond.
   The funeral was held at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 150 N. Clinton Ave., with the Rev. T. Llewellyn Steel, pastor, officiating.
   Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
