The winds were blowing the Cyclones’ way in the East Windsor PAL Cadet girls league last week, as they defeated the Tornadoes 3-2, and the Hurricanes, 1-0.
Against the Tornadoes, Stephanie Burn had a hat trick, scoring twice in the first quarter and getting set up by Mackenzie Henderson in the second period. Cara Vincelette played strong defense while Kayla Rowley, Kelly O’Grady and Christine Ray were tough offensively. Nicole Trulby and Lauren Goragek had the Tornado goals.
Burn’s first-period goal was the difference in the win over the Hurricanes, Rowley and Sarah Debebe played well in goal to notch the shutout, and Ray made some slick passes. The Hurricanes got strong play from goalies Carey Ladd and Sara Goldman. Chelsea Jensen sparked the ‘Canes offense.
Mack’s Collision has been rolling right along in the East Windsor PAL Senior Girls Division action.
Chrissy Rice, assisted by Caitlin White, defeated Mack’s Collision, 1-0. Cheryl Curry and Erin Reyhan excelled on defense. Jaime Goldkrantz played a strong game at stopper. Jessica Wismer recorded the shutout in goal. Katie McMahon, Adrienne Bini and Megan Dolan played well for Pickwick.
Jen Leleszi, Natalie Nunez and Chrissy Rice scored a goal each for Mack’s Collision defeated Pickwick Village, 3-1. Valerie Williston assisted on two goals and Caitlin White on the other. Jaime Goldkrantz, Katie Convery and Jessica Wismer were defensive standouts. Jessica Popkin scored for Pickwick. Morgan Kindberg and Chrissy Schramke also played well.
Chrissy Rice scored three goals, Holly Astone had two goals and two assists and Caitlin White added a goal and two assists for Mack’s in a 6-3 win over Conair. Jen Rice also had an assist., Allison Dimatteo had a great game at sweeper. Tori Schemelia, Barrie Shoblock and Kristy Houvig scored for Conair. Emily Hewins handled 52 shots for Conair.
Marissa Falitz scored three goals, Stacey Betrand two goals and Jessica Drewitz, Sarah Pullen and Joanna Paley added one each as H&H Gas defeated Conair, 8-2. Bari Shoblock and Kristy Houvig scored for Conair.
H&H Gas defeated Conair. Emily Hewins made 29 saves for Conair. Danielle Horta, Amy Gottesman and Nicole Floom also played well.
Adrienne Bini and Katie McMahon scored a goal each, helping Pickwick Village emerge with a 2-1 win over Conair. Anita Anantharaman and Danielle Lauda also had good games for the winners. Kristy Houvig scored for Conair in a 2-1 loss. Ryan Perchaluk and Tori Schemelia did a good job of clearing the ball. Barrie Shoblock and Jessica Calicchio also played well.

Vincent Price scored the first two goals of the match and teammate Trevor Evans added a tally in the fourth quarter as Shangle & Hunt pulled out a 3-1 win over Unipro. Ryan Cormack scored for Unipro. Kevin Sobkowiak made several key saves. Unipro’s Alex Spencer had an outstanding defensive game.
Marc Silverman scored both goals for Mack’s Carsta in a 2-1 win over the Cranbury Atoms. Chris Kimtis scored for the Atoms. Sean McHugh and Ian Sukienik anchored the defense. Bryan Balaban recorded the win in goal. Josh Alster had a great game for the Atoms.
Matthew Cooper scored two goals, John Kluxen was a defensive standout and Rick Waller did a good job in goal for Little Szechuan in a 2-1 win over Mag Electric. John Marion scored for Mag Electric. Elliott Braun played well on offense and Keith Rebhorn did a good job in goal.
Kyle Barron scored all three goals for Little Szechuan in a 3-1 win over the Cranbury Atoms. John Kluzen had a good defensive game and Prateek Malhotra was great in goal. Josh Alster scored for the Atoms. Steven Barbano and Omar Aly also played well.
Matthew Cooper scored two goals and Ajay Yaragatti added one as Little Szechuan edged Unipro, 3-2. Bryan Garcia and Matt Sheldon scofred for Unipro. Sam Mitchell had a good defensive game.
Robert Brewer scored both goals (one assisted by Kevin Sobkowiak) for Shangle & Hunt in a 2-0 win over Mag Electric. Zach Ahmed recorded the shutout in goal. Alat Ahmed also had a good defensive game. Keith Rebhorn and Marvick had good games in goal for Unipro. Matt Morris also played well.
Abdul Hameed, Ben Clark and Josh Alster each scored for the Cranbury Atoms in a 3-2 win over Mag Electric. John Marion scored for Mag Electric on a great feed from Mike Starke.
Unipro and Mack’s played to a 2-2 tie. Sean McHugh and Matt Henderson scored for Mack’s. Chris Moran also had a good game. Josh Freeman and Matt Sheldon scored for Unipro. Mickey Burbaum also played well.
Marc Silverman scored an amzing seven goals, leading Mack’s Carstar to a 9-4 win over Shangle & Hunt. Darrin Maconi added two goals. Jason Barome and Ashwin Anantharaman also played well for Mack’s. Vincent Price, Kevin Sobkowiak, Matt Nieliwocki and Nick Kurahar each scored a goal each for Shangle & Hunt.
Dom’s Getty picked up a 5-0 win over the Lightning. Teeni Jenner (assisted by Colleen Rooney), Rooney (assisted by Jessica Weidman), Ameila Snow (assisted by Stephanie Pikus) and Tara Russ scored for Dom’s. Elizabeth Paralshi and Stephanie Lauda played well for the Lightning.
Tara Russ scored two goals and Teenie Jenner and Colleen Rooney added one each for Dom’s Getty in a 4-2 win over Premier Physical Therapy. Jennifer Kennedy, Stephanie Pikus and Kayla Malsbury had assists. Harriet Kadar, assisted by Aisling Roche, scored for Premier Physical Therapy.
Maureen Wells scored three goals and Elyssa Swern and Danielle Guarino added a goal each for Medical Supply Holdings in 5-1 win over the Lightning. Alyse Canciello blocked a penalty kick. Meaghan Donchak scored for Lightning. Stephanie Lauda, Katie Devlin and Christinbe Lewis.
The East Windsor Express opened their fall season on Sept. 10 with a 4-1 win over the Middletown Rovers.
The Express play in the National 1 boys under-11 division of the MOSA soccer league.
On Sept. 17, they continued their winning ways, with a 3-1 victory over their oldest rivals, the Hazlet United soccer team. This past Sunday, the Express shutout the Monmouth Coast Sharks, 2-0.
The Express are in first place, with a 3-0 record and their next game will be a home game against Freehold Sunday.
Since graduating to uunder-11, several players have been added to the team: Emile el-Saheli, Sarah Guilbert and Robert Kearn. They are all experienced players and have helped strengthen our team significantly.

The Windsor-Hights Janitorial Blue Titans defeated the P. B. A. 191 Gray Wolves, 4-0. The Blue Titans scored three goals early — two by Kevin Bailey and one By Shawn Fallon from a penalty kick. The Gray Wolves had Yassine Ezzat in scoring position many times with the help from teammates. Bhavik Shah, C.J Starkes & Troy Covell played very well. In the Fourth quarter Jared Edgteron scored for the Blue Titans. Paul Larmonie played two great quarters of goalkeeper with three saves and David Pennenga also played keeper and did an outstanding job.
Mack’s CarStar came on strong to beat the PBA 191 Grey Wolves,4-2.Mack’s CarStar scored four unanswered goals to start the game. The Grey Wolves rallied to score two goals in the second quarter. Fr Mack’s CarStar, Matt Nelson played strong defense. Josh Cullen and Jared Rubin each scored two goals. Steve Holt and Dylan DiCuio played excellent defense.
On the defense, in true goalkeeper form, Sean Lang made a valiant dive to block an incoming shot. Kevin Hubbard also made a nice save in goal. Adam Henry and John Aponte used powerful and well-timed kicks to clear offensives drives to the sideline. Playing halfback, C.J. Starkes firstdueled with and won the ball from three opponents, then immediately repeated the feat with two opponents, showing off some fine footwork. On the offense, a number of fine passes lead to scoring opportunities.Yassine Ezzyat converted one of these passes into a goal, and then later made second, by booting a well aimed penalty kick out of the reach of the opposing keeper. In one particularly fine pass sequence, halfback Paul Larmonie passed the ballto forward Guy Blackburn, who put the ball in the air halfway across the field to land neatly by forward Yassine.
Tyler Malsbury scored the lone goal of the match, lifting the Extreme to a 1-0 win over the Rush. Christian Enos picked up the win in goal. Stephen Jack and Jonathan Laverty also played well. For the Rush, Kevin Donaghy, Mark Elghossain, C.J. Martin and Eric Trast played well.
Ellen Trast scored both goals for Carduners in a 2-0 win over PBA 191. Vanessia Velastequi and Jennette Burman played well for PBA 191. Rachel Branstrom and Michelle Yaeggy were defensive standouts.
