Johanna Katona Zapko, 85, died Saturday at Capital Health System at Fuld hospital, Trenton.
Born in Pennington, she was a lifelong resident.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and gardening.
Daughter of the late Michael and Julianna Katona, wife of the late Peter Zapko Sr. and sister of the late Suzanna Katona, she is survived by a son, Peter Zapko Jr., and a daughter and son-in-law, Johanna and Michael T. Serbin, all of Pennington; a sister-in-law, Mae Zapko of Flemington; and two nephews, Lewis and James Zapko.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, Hopewell Township, with the Rev. Laszlo Ujj, pastor of Hungarian Reform Church of Trenton, officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
