Lawrence ends regular season with 36-0 win over AllentownThe Lawrence High School football team must wish every day was a Homecoming.

The Cardinals’ late-season three-game win streak has come in three consecutive Homecoming games. First, the Cardinals won their own over Princeton. Then they sent the West Windsor-Plainsboro South fans home disappointed from their big day last week.
On Saturday, the Cardinals ruined another.
This time the victims were the Red Birds of Allentown, who fell to the streaking Cardinals, 36-0.
It was another big day for sophomore stand-out Orlando Kane, who added four more rushing touchdowns to his already-impressive campaign. Backfield mate Gary Victor added the final touchdown, and placekicker Ryan Dunn was 4-for-5 in point-after attempts.
But it was the defense that put the first points on the board, as defensive end Justin Lampley brutalized Allentown quarterback Matt Mordas with a third-down sack and then picked up a fourth-down safety to put the Cardinals up, 2-0.
Incredibly, thanks to the Lawrence defensive effort, it would be the only points the Cardinals would need. However, the offense contributed with a little breathing room as the team earned its fifth win of the season.
"It feels great when we do well on defense because we have faith in our offense," Lampley said after the game. "We know they can get us the points. Today they got us the 36, and we got them the goose egg."
