Police charged Thomas Ragsdale, 46, of 335 Auten Road with burglary, aggravated assault, criminal mischief and making terroristic threats after the early morning incident on Jan. 10.
The woman, who police did not identify, was not injured.
Police were summoned to the victim’s address, a multi-family residence, at 12:46 a.m. Other residents of the house told police they had heard Mr. Ragsdale outside breaking the windows of three cars with a hammer, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage, officials said.
