Dominic A. Tomasallo, 86

   MANVILLE — Dominic A. Tomasallo died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Harborside Care Center, Bridgewater. He was 86.
   Born in Raritan and a resident of Manville for more than 50 years, he had been a weaver for Redfern Lace Mill of Somerville from 1945 to 1965. In 1975, he retired from American Cyanamid of Bridgewater, where he had worked in maintenance for 10 years.
   Mr. Tomasallo served in the Army during World War II where he was with Company C, 239th Engineer Construction Battalion in the New Guinea and Southern Philippines campaigns. He was a member of the Manville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post #2290.
   He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Manville.
   Surviving are his wife, Ida Tomasallo of Manville; his daughters, Barbara Martin and Patricia Tomasallo, both of Manville, and Diane Grindstaff of Lewistown, Pa.; brothers, Peter of Gainsville, Fla. and Salvatore of Lambertville, Fla.; sisters, Celia Melnick of Lambertville and Josephine Stawick of Bayville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral was held on Dec. 27 at Ketusky Funeral Home, Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, Manville.
   Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.
