The overflow day to accommodate those area people who still wish to donate blood for 2-year-old Lindsay Fennimore has been set for Monday, March 19, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Hopewell Firehouse, South Greenwood and Columbia avenues, Hopewell Borough.
The first local drive for Lindsay, who has Childhood Acute Lymphoytic Leukemia (ALL), was held at the firehouse on Feb. 26. At the 8 p.m. closing time that day, many people still were waiting in line to donate blood. They had to be turned away.
Diane Goings of the Community Blood Council of New Jersey said Monday that it would help the Blood Council accommodate everyone if those wishing to donate would call the Hopewell Fire Department (466-0060) ahead of time to be scheduled.
However, Ms. Goings said no one will be turned away and all donors will be welcome.
