Frances Shurts

   PERKASIE, Pa. — Frances "Jean" Shurts, 84, died Tuesday, April 17, at Grandview Hospital.
   Born in Solebury Township and raised in New Hope, she lived in Lambertville before moving to Perkasie in 1996.
   During World War II, Ms. Shurts worked at the General Motors plant in Ewing where airplanes were being built for the war effort. She retired from Lambertville Ceramics Inc. in 1982.
   She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Lambertville.
   Daughter of the late Abraham L. and Hannah Hoagland Wiggins and widow of William A. Shurts, she is survived by a son, William A. Shurts of Lambertville; a daughter, Elizabeth Girard of Perkasie; four grandchildren, Brian D. and Amy E. Turner and W. Matthew and Erin R. Shurts; and two great-grandchildren, Megan R. Turner and David P. Scavuzzo Jr.
   The funeral was held Friday from the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at the church. Burial was private.

Paul Nardoni

   LAMBERTVILLE — Paul R. Nardoni, 32, died Tuesday, April 17, at his parents’ home.
   Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Readington resident before moving to Lambertville a year ago.
   Mr. Nardoni was executive chef with Windstar Cruise Lines and previously with Four Seasons Hotel, Maui, Hawaii. He was the original sales director for the Somerset Patriots at Commerce Bank Ballpark, Bridgewater.
   He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and Susquehanna University.
   Son of Renato and Roseann Lewis Nardoni, he also is survived by his wife, Ellen Haney; two stepdaughters, Melissa and Rebecca Hege of Bridgewater; his grandmother, Jane Nardoni of West Trenton; a sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Ernie Flores of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a goddaughter, Sarah Flores.
   A memorial service was held Saturday at Stanton Reformed Church. Burial was private.

   Arrangements were under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.
Francis Lebrizzi

   ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Francis M. Lebrizzi, 77, died Wednesday, April 11, at Flagler Hospital.
   Born in Lambertville, he moved to St. Augustine in 1987.
   A Marine Corps veteran, he served in the Pacific during World War II.
   Mr. Lebrizzi had been a mechanical engineer and draftsman with several firms in New Jersey and New York.
   Father of the late Patrick, son of the late Antonio and Leonia DeMuzio Librizzi and brother of the late Joseph and Frederick Librizzi, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Doris Kennedy Lebrizzi; two daughters, Kathleen Lebrizzi of St. Augustine and Renee Lebrizzi of Browns Mills, N.J.; and a brother, Valentino "Gus" Librizzi of Lambertville.
   The funeral was held April 16 in St. Augustine.

Jack Tractenberg

   LAMBERTVILLE — Jack Louis Tractenberg, 95, died Saturday, April 14, at Hunterdon Care Center.
   Born in New York City, he lived in Newark, Trenton, Jackson, Kearny and North Arlington before moving to Lambertville.
   He worked with Midlantic Bank, Newark, and owned Stuyvesant Tavern, Trenton, before retiring.
   He had been chairman of the Jackson Township Environmental Commission and Scholarship Committee.
   He is survived by his wife, Veronica; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Michael and Judith Wodynski; five grandchildren, Beth Tractenberg Levenson, Joel Tractenberg, Christine Deacon and Gregory and Jeffrey Wodynski; and seven great-grandchildren.
   Mr. Tractenberg donated his remains to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Josephine Cicchino

   NEW CASTLE, Del. — Josephine E. Cicchino, 86, died Tuesday, April 17, at Christiana Hospital.
   Born in Flemington, she was a longtime resident of Lambertville before moving to New Castle.
   She retired from York Luggage Corp., Lambertville.
   Daughter of the late Arvilla Sheppard and mother of the late Joan Spears, she is survived by a brother, Fay Sheppard of West Amwell; a granddaughter, Kim Kushner of Flemington; and a grandson, Roger Spears of Willow Grove, Pa.
   The funeral was private.

Howard Smith

   LAMBERTVILLE — Howard A. Smith, 79, died Thursday, April 19, at Greenleaf Nursing Center, Doylestown, Pa.
   Born in Lambertville, he was a lifelong resident.
   Mr. Smith served stateside with the Navy during World War II.
   He retired 25 years ago as a machinist with Taurus Corp., Lambertville, and had worked with Egomatic Co., Pennington.
   He was a member of Union and Fleet Wing Fire companies of Lambertville, Lambertville Drum and Bugle Corps and American Legion Toscanni Post, Lambertville. He enjoyed fishing.
   Son of the late Howard A. and Margaret Bothers Smith, he is survived by his wife, Lola McGuire Smith; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Frank D. and Joan Smith of West Amwell and Gary C. and Kathy Culbertson, Keith and Debbie Culbertson and Howard A. and Pat Smith, all of Lambertville; two daughters, Beverly Casey of East Greenville, Pa., and Janice Buchanan of Dublin, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Knosky of Titusville.
   The funeral was held Monday at Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, Lambertville, with the Rev. David Errickson of Old Rocks Church of West Amwell officiating. Burial was in Sandy Ridge Church Cemetery, Delaware Township.
