Donations due: The Women’s Club of Cranbury is seeking onations of various hygiene items for Women Aware, a Middlesex County abuse center for women.
Donations may be dropped in a basket on the front porch of 42 S. Main St. anytime before April 15.
Items needed include toothbrushes, combs, hairbrushes, shampoo, conditioner ,deodorant, soap, hand lotion and disposable razors. Hotel samples are welcome.
Donations must be unused.
Art slide show: From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission will present a lecture and slide show covering the Zimmerli Art Museum’s collection of French, American and Belgian artists influenced by the Japanese style.
Laureen Trainer of the Outreach Division of the Zimmerli will lead the presentation in the lecture hall at Monroe Township High School.
Spaghetti dinner: From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Jamesburg Elks will hold a spaghetti dinner to benefit the Jamesburg Rec skatepark. The dinner will be held at the Elks Lodge, Railroad Ave., Jamesburg.
The cost is $7.50 for adults, $3.50 for children. The dinner will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad and bread. Beverages will be available for sale. For further information, call Terri at (732) 521-3604.
Mozart Plus: At 2:30 p.m., Edward Bogusz and Friends return to the Cranbury Public Library for a concert of arias and other music from Mozart’s operas, as well as a few selections from Beethoven. This concert is free.
Yom Hashoa observance: At 1:30 p.m., the Henry Ricklis Holocaust Memorial Committee will hold its annual Yom Hashoa Observance at the Monroe Township High School auditorium. The theme is "The Second Generation," children of Holocaust survivors. The speaker will be Peter Kessel, a son of survivors, and chairman of the Yom Hashoa Commemoration Committee at Kean University.
The lighting of memorial candles by survivors will take place prior to the program between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
NJ slide show: At 7 p.m., photographer Walter Choroszewski will present a slide show of his work, featuring beautiful sites throughout New Jersey, at the Monroe Township Public Library. Musical comedy revue: At 7 p.m., the new ACT! Theater ompany will open their first show, "Makin’ Whoopee," at The Empire Diner, Route 9 North, Freehold. Doreen Gallotti of Monroe will star.

Pre-school registration: Jamesburg Pre-School registration will take place May 8 and May 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the John F. Kennedy School, 28 Front Street, Jamesburg.
