Henry Muentener Sr., 77, died Saturday at home.
Born in Marbach, Switzerland, he came to the United States in 1952 and was a longtime Hopewell resident.
He was a veteran of the Swiss Armed Forces.
He was founder and president of Muentener Builders of Hopewell.
He was a past Worshipful Master of the Masons, Hopewell Lodge 155, and sponsored Hopewell youth soccer and baseball.
Son of the late Heinrich and Lina Muentener and father of the late Kenny Muentener, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elsie Muentener; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Elsie and Verne Sheidler of Pennington, Heidi Muentener of Cookstown, Anita and Mark Bennison of Hopewell, and Lisa and Peter Kasabach of Trenton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry Jr. and Lynne Muentener of Hopewell, and Eric and Colleen Muentener of Hopewell; 10 grandchildren, Alex and Lauren Sheidler, Kristen, Allison, Alicia and Rachel Muentener, Kyle, Drew and Matthew Bennison, and Kasper Kasabach; five sisters, Erika Ilk of Boca Raton, Fla., Lina Goeldi, Anni Cantieni, Hirta Lippuner and Helen Duesel of Switzerland; a brother, Erwin Muentener of Switzerland; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 88 West Broad St., Hopewell.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell.
There will be no calling hours.
